Erica and Justin-Newspaper Print

Back in October, we took some pictures for our first wedding clients--Erica and Justin.  Since they are personal friends, and they know the chaos that inevitably follows the wedding planning process, they've been patient in getting the polished photos.  This weekend, we were finally able to get one or two to them with the promise of more to follow soon.  So to wet your appetite as well, we present the photo Erica and Justin selected for their newspaper announcements back in Western Kansas.

Welcome to Our New Home

After taking one photo a day, every day, for the past year, Pete and I have joined forces not only to publish on a singular blog, but to work together to share our love of photography with even more people through our business: Belltower Photo.  (Never mind combining forces through that whole getting married thing in just 5 weeks... :)).

Our catch phrase is "photography with a ring to it," and is a phrase that means many things. First and foremost it discusses our (future) relationship and what those rings symbolize for the two of us. Secondly, its about the kind of photos we want to take; they say life's most memorable moments have  "rings" to them, and we'd like to capture those moments and places with our photography. Finally, it represents our connection to the University of Kansas, and the campanile that graces Lawrence's skyline. It will forever be a part of us, and now, our business, too.

So stop on by every once in a while. We won't have pictures to share every day like we did in 2009, but hopefully it won't be too long in between posts.

Foggy Lawrence Town

Light from the incoming Santa Fe engine is dispersed by the fog in the air this evening in Lawrence.

Sneak Peek

This is one of my favorite pictures that did not to make the pic-a-day blog last year...a little boy getting a sneak peek at Santa as he catches a ride into town just before the Downtown Lawrence Old-Fashioned Christmas Parade.
